Welcome to SparkShort ("we," "us," or "our"). SparkShort is a free, ad-supported platform that streams short-form vertical dramas for entertainment purposes. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using our services.
About SparkShort
SparkShort provides short-form vertical drama content entirely free of charge. There are no subscriptions, no paywalls, and no mandatory payments of any kind. Our platform is sustained through two revenue sources: (1) advertising served by Google AdSense and other third-party ad networks, and (2) voluntary donations from users who wish to support our mission. You may enjoy all available content on SparkShort without any financial obligation.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SparkShort, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. User Accounts
When you first visit SparkShort, a temporary guest account is automatically created to enable basic features such as watch history and favorites. To unlock full functionality, including the referral program and activation code redemption, you must upgrade to a registered account by providing a valid email address and creating a password.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. SparkShort reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or exhibit suspicious activity.
To protect the integrity of our platform, email verification is required when creating or upgrading an account. A verification code will be sent to the email address you provide, and you must enter the correct code to complete the process.
3. Free Content & Advertising
All drama content on SparkShort is provided free of charge. We do not operate a subscription service, and no payment is required to access any content on the platform.
Our platform is supported by advertising. You may see display ads, video ads, and other promotional content served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising partners. These ads may be targeted based on your browsing activity, device information, and other factors described in our Privacy Policy. By using SparkShort, you acknowledge and consent to the display of advertisements as part of your experience.
VIP members (see Section 5) may enjoy an ad-free experience during the active period of their VIP status.
4. Voluntary Donations
SparkShort accepts voluntary donations from users who wish to support the platform's operations, including content licensing, translation, hosting, and development. Donations are entirely optional and do not unlock any exclusive content, features, or privileges unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Donation & No-Refund Policy
All donations are voluntary, non-refundable contributions. Because SparkShort provides all content free of charge with no mandatory payment, any financial support you provide is a goodwill gesture to help sustain the platform. ALL DONATIONS ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.
Any attempt to file an unauthorized chargeback or dispute via PayPal, Stripe, credit card networks, or other payment processors will be considered a violation of these Terms and may result in permanent account suspension.
5. VIP Status & Ad-Free Experience
VIP status on SparkShort grants an ad-free viewing experience for a limited duration. VIP status does not involve any payment and can only be obtained through the following methods:
(a) Referral Rewards — Referring active users to the platform (see Section 6).
(b) Activation Codes — Redeeming valid activation codes issued by SparkShort (see Section 7).
(c) Promotional Grants — VIP status granted through special events or promotions.
VIP status is time-limited and will automatically revert to a standard user account upon expiration. SparkShort reserves the right to revoke VIP status if it was obtained through abuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.
6. Referral Program
SparkShort offers a referral program that rewards users for inviting new members to the platform. Every registered user receives a unique referral link and invite code that can be shared with others.
Referral Reward Rules
For every 10 effective active users you refer, you will receive 3 days of ad-free VIP status as a reward. Rewards are delivered via email and must be activated within 7 days of receipt.
An "effective active user" is defined as a user who meets both of the following criteria:
- Has completed their account registration with a verified email address (upgraded from guest to registered user).
- Has accumulated a total watch time of at least 30 minutes across all content on the platform.
SparkShort reserves the right to disqualify referrals that appear to be fraudulent, automated, or otherwise in violation of these Terms. Referral rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to other users, or combined with other promotions unless explicitly permitted.
7. Activation Codes
SparkShort may issue activation codes through promotional campaigns, partnerships, or special events. Activation codes can be redeemed in the User Center to unlock benefits such as temporary VIP status.
Each activation code has a specific reward type and duration. Codes may only be redeemed once per account and must be used before their expiration date. SparkShort is not responsible for lost, stolen, or expired codes. Attempting to redeem counterfeit, duplicated, or unauthorized codes may result in account suspension.
Activation code rewards are subject to the same VIP status rules described in Section 5, including automatic expiration and reversion to standard user status.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on SparkShort, including but not limited to drama series, video clips, images, graphics, logos, and text, is the property of SparkShort or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may view and stream content on SparkShort for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not download, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content on this platform without express written permission from SparkShort.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to use SparkShort for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the platform. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to: creating multiple accounts to abuse the referral program, using bots or automated tools to inflate watch time or referral counts, attempting to reverse-engineer or scrape the platform, and uploading or distributing malicious content.
Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension without prior notice.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
SparkShort is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the platform's operation, content availability, or suitability for any particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the platform.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SparkShort and its operators, affiliates, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruptions.
12. Third-Party Links & Services
SparkShort may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit through links on SparkShort.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable international laws. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction where SparkShort operates.
